Our approach to servicing your bike is the same approach we take in everything we do here at Cyclepath. We are obsessed with quality and understand that even the nicest bicycle requires tremendous mechanical attention in order to perform to its potential. In the words of renowned architect Mies van der Rohe, “God is in the details.”
Pro-build $225/$150
This is the same treatment the pros’ bikes get. Your frame gets faced and chased; steel frames are internally coated with frame saver. We’ll build your wheels, dial in your brakes and derailleurs, install all of your parts to torque spec, match all of your fit data, and make your ride race ready. Wheels already built? Make it $150.
Portland Tune-up $125
We’ll perform all the chores you’d expect in a tune-up; adjust gears, brakes, true wheels, adjust bearings and torque all bolts to spec. Drive train is removed and cleaned in our bio-friendly solvent tank.
Overhaul $200
Same as the tune-up, only this service includes cleaning and greasing every thread and bearing – that means we open up the headset, hubset and bottom bracket, in addition to standard tune-up chores. All parts are scrubbed down and cleaned in the bio-friendly solvent tank, wheels trued, all cables and housing replaced and shifting tuned to perfection. While any bicycle will benefit from thorough service, the overhaul is highly recommended as a once-a-year gift to your favorite steel bike (greatly reduces the chance of seized seatposts and bottom brackets), cross bike or commuter.
Wheel Building $50 (per wheel)
Your custom wheel is as unique as your custom bicycle and deserves the same amount of care and attention. As such, every Cyclepath wheel build begins with selection of the optimal hub, rim, spoke, nipple and lacing pattern to best suit your individual needs. This includes consideration of your riding style, physique and unique aesthetic preferences.
On the technical side of things, our build process includes extensive spoke stress relief, meticulous tension measurement, and truing tolerances of less than .25mm. We stand behind every wheel and offer complimentary truing for the life of any wheel we build. If a spoke ever breaks that has not been obviously damaged by impact we will replace it free of charge.
If you simply need to swap a worn out rim or have your own parts already, no problem! We give the same amount of love, time and attention to every wheel we build, regardless of where the parts came from. Price remains the same as well.
Wheel Truing $10-30
Lateral wheel truing is typically $10 per wheel. If the wheel needs to be rounded, dished, or re-tensioned in addition to standard truing, expect $25-$30 per wheel.
Adjustments $5-15
Brakes rubbing? Derailleurs not doing what they should? Minor adjustments can be a major annoyance – we can typically any minor adjustment on your bike while you wait.
Box Bike $45
Need your bike professionally packed and boxed for safe shipping? We’ve got you covered. Price includes all labor, the box and shipping materials. UPS daily pickup service is available from the shop.
Tubulars $60
Need your tubular tires professionally mounted? Price includes labor per wheel. Glue and tubular tape are extra. $25 surcharge per wheel may be charged if excessive prep work is required on used rims. Requires minimum of 36 hours.
Rush Charge $50 +
For those those times when time is of the essence, we offer a 24 hour turnaround on repairs and services. Price is in addition to regular service rates.

We keep an extensive array of the finest and also the funkiest parts inventory in the area to meet the needs of all of our customers. If we don’t have it, we can get it for you with little hassle.
